Jewelry That Supports Women’s Reproductive Rights

Jewelry brand supporting Abortion Rights

It is profoundly disturbing that in 2022 the US Supreme Court does not recognize a women’s right to safe abortions as a basic human right.

I’m joining the fray, determined to help women access abortions in any and all ways that occur to me, be it sharing resources, voting, or donating.

In honor of 1973 when Roe v Wade established a woman’s right to choose an abortion, All The Brilliants will donate $19.73 to the National Network of Abortion Funds for every TalisWOMAN purchase.

TalisWOMEN were created with a purpose: to remind us of who we are and what we are made of. May this series unite us, celebrate us, and symbolize our power.

On the topic of resources, if you or someone you know is seeking an abortion, here’s how to avoid leaving a digital trail.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT DIGITAL DATA AND BIG TECH

Be aware that in states where abortion becomes criminalized, law enforcement may use Big Tech or other digital data (period apps, text messages, etc.) as evidence of a crime. I have donated to Planned Parenthood, but below are alternatives to consider.

3 ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE ACCESS TO SAFE ABORTIONS

  • National Network of Abortion Funds

A grassroots network building power to remove financial, logistical, cultural & political barriers to abortion.

  • Whole Woman’s Health

An independent abortion provider with clinics & virtual services in 9 cities & 7 states.

  • Lilith Fund

Providing financial assistance and emotional support while building community spaces for people who need abortions in Texas.

THE COCKTAIL RING - THE ORIGINAL SYMBOL OF WOMEN’S LIBERATION

As we fight to take back our political equality, I encourage you to rediscover and wear cocktail rings you may already have in your jewelry wardrobe. DM me if you are interested in acquiring a new one!

A QUICK HISTORY OF THE COCKTAIL RING

On August 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment was ratified, prohibiting the United States and its states from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of sex. This not only recognized women’s right to vote but also set the stage for women’s liberation - and the impetus of the cocktail ring!
