These emerald and diamond drop earrings were commissioned as a gift to celebrate a milestone birthday.
After a conversation with the client about what he was seeking and a little information about his partner, I shared two directions.
With the design selected, Marianna of Makova matched and measured the emeralds to create elongated drop earrings that would really move when being worn!
Once the CAD rendering was approved, the casting, assembling, and setting got underway at the Italian atelier. The client received photos and video updates as they became available, along with an explanation describing what was being presented.
We were thrilled to receive the news from Germany that the sparkling surprise was well-received… she was “over the moon”!

How many options will I receive?
You will receive three curated options based on our conversation.
How do I schedule a consultation?
Once the questionnaire is submitted, you can book your consultation. The meeting format can be a zoom chat, a phone call, or in-person if you are in NYC.
Sessions are 30 minutes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am or 11 am EST. Other arrangements are possible if needed.
What is the timeline to see the curation?
You will receive a curated pdf via email with details about each option for purchase within three to five business days.
When working with international designers, I will inform you of unanticipated delays.
What if I like a designer’s piece, but want a different gemstone?
With some settings, it is possible to replace one gemstone with another. Or the designer can create a customized piece just for you! Either way, this gemstone can be sourced based on your budget.
Can I see the jewelry in person before purchasing it?
It depends on the location.
For US designers, special arrangements can be made for a fee if you are based in NYC.
The designer can provide a video of the piece being worn and close-up images to address specific queries.
