A few years ago in Vogue Runway, Emily Farra predicted a systemic shift in our relationship with fashion and interpreting our values from a monetary, ethical, and sentimental lens.
As one of the world’s first art forms, jewelry has always been a circular economy.
Similar to our closet, we all have pieces in our jewelry box that may have been forgotten, passed down to us as heirlooms, damaged, or are no longer our style. Whatever the case may be, these await rediscovery!
Jewelry that is no longer worn can be reimagined - transforming it into a captivating design that is uniquely yours while addressing your wardrobe needs.
Below are a few pieces that have been reimagined to be worn and enjoyed again!
NEW LIFE TO HEIRLOOMS
This bracelet was handed down by an adored grandmother. Even though the size (and style) was not a fit, it was kept for sentimental reasons. In honor of the one-of-a-kind personality of the family member, we brought this bracelet new life as asymmetrical diamond cluster studs unlike anything else. The earrings also addressed two jewelry wardrobe needs:
universal to wear to the office presenting to clients as well as out with friends
fluid to easily compliment her mixed metal jewelry collection
MAKE IT YOURS
Accidental loss of a gemstone in a favorite ring can happen in the strangest circumstances - in this case, a collision with a runaway suitcase on an escalator at an international airport. In keeping with the original look of this family cocktail ring, we explored a variety of blue hues from deep purple-blue to teal. In her words: “I like the ring now more than I did before!”
MISMATCHED TO MULTI-WEAR
These two diamonds were originally from a half-of-a-set of earrings and a necklace that needed a new beginning! Because her features are delicate, we created diamond studs in channel wire to sit close to her ear. For a memorable flare, we created earring jackets that can be worn with these and other studs for multiple looks!
For our ancient ancestors, jewelry was a reflection of what is of meaning and value to us - and I believe we can restore that connection today.

POST-CONSUMER RECYCLED DIAMONDS AND THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY
As we become more conscious about what we buy and what we wear, choosing jewelry with post-consumer recycled colored gemstones and diamonds is the best way to mitigate our carbon footprint.
With regard to environmental impact, these diamonds are better options than laboratory-grown diamonds for many reasons:
regardless if they are 4 or 400 years old, they have already incurred a cost in their environmental footprint
natural diamonds do not lose their value, compared to the deeply declining value of lab grown diamonds
antique diamonds are rare and unique because they were cut with eyes and hands, versus by machines informed by math in science, so do not look like every other diamond
choosing recycled diamonds supports the UN Sustainable Development Goal number 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
